#  BEST Lab graduate student Emily Mellen completed her first marathon this year

Emily Mellen, a third year doctoral candidate, completed her first marathon on Halloween this year. Now that she has regained feeling in her legs, she’s started considering signing up for other races, but for now she is excited to be using her Sunday mornings for something other than long runs.
