BEST Lab Doctoral Student Alex Nikolaidis Konstas Completes First-Year Project

Congratulations to Alex Nikolaidis Konstas, a doctoral student in the BEST Lab, who recently completed his first-year project! Alex’s project—titled “Integrating Agent-Based Modeling into Stigma Research: The Promise of Complex Systems Approaches”—provides researchers with an important roadmap and illustrative application for using agent-based modeling in stigma scholarship. Although field has long viewed stigma as a complex system—one comprised of various parts that interact to explain stigma’s emergence and persistence over time—they previously lacked the precise tools to study stigma in this way.
